what is your name & where are you from?
i go by ydk jay and i’m from the northside of winston*salem, north carolina
what got you into music?
my mother told me when she was pregnant with me she use to play music and hold it up to her stomach and i would kick to the beat and when i was born i would always dance and rap to any song she played
what makes you different?
i stay consistent and loyal to my craft. i don’t let what people say hurt or dictate my mind when it comes to music, i keep pushing
what’s your favorite lyric you made?
i dropped a song called said sum where i said “where i’m from you may think that it’s rugged, b*tch just cause you know me don’t mean you can touch”
what do you plan on achieving or promoting?
just making out of winston and doing what’s best for me and family and pray that music helps me achieve that goal
what do you want to promote, when or what are you dropping? single etc
i’m working on my new album coming out soon called “son of a legend”
