hi there! it’s the may jailer, back again for my new album *n*lysis on lana del rey’s chemtrails over the country club!

*introduction
if you know me here on g*nius, it’s likely you’ve been exposed to my love of lana del rey’s music. this is lana’s first release after 2019’s norman f***ing rockwell! which was grammy nominated and highly acclaimed by the media, so the expectations were high. however, with the covid pandemic and changes in lana’s own life, it was also not unexpеcted that the nfr era would еnd *sniff sniff* as a ‘self*proclaimed lana del rey stan’, you can expect a very well educated opinion from me! okay, here we go!

track 1: “white dress”

“white dress” was supposed to be the lead single for chemtrails, but something something happened with lana n the studio n the leak, so it didn’t end up being a single. this song has themes of lana’s lizzy grant days, and also some vocal elements that are something new in her music. honestly, i’m not really a fan of the first verse, but the second verse is much better and very beautiful. the stressed “down at the men in music business conference” really sets a tone. i’d say a solid 8/10
