raised an objection:

i could see this conference
was dissolving into chaos
at any moment this could be

so i reached for the nearest thing
that garnered my attention
and lifting high a gl-ss
i addressed the whole convention:

“everybody grab a cup
and let’s propose a toast
‘cause the planet that we live on
is our planetary host

we all have different disciplines
there is no right or wrong
i want to hear you clink those mugs
and hear you chant along!
