to my future daughters - redtheshow lyrics
intro : dreams are just fictional
verse 1 : once alive, and feeling crushed by my side, ain’t now worse feeling than knowing when it’s time to die. alert and feeling hard, deep within the wind, and still dreaming about times how it’s hard to win. dreaming big, but dreaming very little, and when they said go to school, and you’ll be placed in the middle. no popular fiction, or just a fairy tale maze, but all those people were messed up deep in they heads, smoked, and all crazed. living a lie, i just feel all betrayed, but from another point of view, i’m just another character feeling all portrayed. it ain’t a two hour movie, this is just a short film, it ends so fast, and quick the main reason why it all just k!lled, all the heroes, stand guard and stand still. the enemy always win’s and it ends with a thrill. to my unborn child learn the way of the gun, but don’t even pick it up, i want you to live long, just have as much fun. we don’t grow to become children, we grow to become babies, most of us can’t even act our age, that’s why they call us lazy. they say america is lazy, i would just agree, but we got even more lazy because of nineteen. so far apart from everyone even the girls, but i won’t let mine grow up without a world, to my future daughter
hook : to my future daughters ( 5x) ( dreams are just fictional, can’t you see, sometimes it just hypnotizes me)
verse 2: and when you go for a walk just hold on tight, my hand will keep you safe, it will be alright. i hate that some parents don’t give a d*mn about their own, sometimes they themselves can’t stop looking at they phone. i saw this one chick on the platform looking real busy, her son wondering off alone, and thought, ” what the h*ll are you doing missy” i imagined the worse to come, what if he ran onto the tracks and the whole world just stopped. i stopped to think this was all in my head, but than again i know sh*t like this can happen, but know people don’t know any better, they love to keep yapping. i mind my own business like i continue to live my life, and they live theirs, i got my own daughter to take care up, while they just hitting theirs. why do people got to be rude and decisive, let alone make them bad decisions, i wonder what would it look like if everybody was nice, and was on a rescue mission. rescue everyone from losing themselves, but choose to abuse themselves, when the calling card won’t help. as soon as my daughter combs out of the womb, i hope she grew like a b*tterfly, waiting to bless some like him, her or you. this is for my future daughter
hook : to my future daughters ( 5x) ( dreams are just fictional, can’t you see, sometimes it just hypnotizes me)
verse 3: if i wrote a letter this is what i would say. today, when i welcome you to this life, live long and happy, and be a good wife. i’ll always remember your cute smile, and pretty eyes, blue like baby blue, a fish in disguise. i’ll watch you grow to like the same stuff i love, maybe not the hardcore music unless you want to, but it is all up to you. you can play sports and video games if you wish, just remember to always give daddy a kiss when you leave for school, especially when you graduate for high school, and just don’t be cruel ( as bobby brown said). when you go to a good school, and get a good degree, i think you should always remember how you got here, wouldn’t you agree? so let’s agree, when i see you grow up, just give daddy a big kiss, and hug, and you’ll be blessed with unlimited luck. but i’m gonna enjoy this moment when you get here, i’ll always be by you, and won’t leave you out, cause i care. we’ll be the best badass pair, that we would ever be
outro. sincerely, this is to my future daughter
