skeletons had formed a path surrounded by crows
to the mountain
terror was leading me among skulls
maybe to my own death ?

they were missing the taste of living flesh

the closer i got, the lesser i wanted to believe in
because as far as i remembered, this mountain wasn’t there
a pile of tortured cadavers in their snowy grave clothes
dismembered, mutilated, butchered and cursed
