the business will be done; with general gabriel, we are one!”

celebrate our freedom with the finest wine

“gather the columns at brooks bridge, march to the city with our demands!
tonight’s the night, boys, don’t take flight!
i’ve borne all i can bear, let’s steal our freedom while we dare!”
set a fire at rocketts, seize the governer, ’til he agrees to our endeavor
but the rains came down, flooding the bridges into town
and two of the boys, full of fear, gave away the plan so dear

that’s when gabriel made the slip, sailed to norfolk in the belly of a ship
captured there and made to stand for the plot to save his native land
“we will sooner wade in blood, than give up what we’ve understood.”
