the bleachers are full yet there is no sound

as our opponent hits the ball starting the game with a pow

everyone quickly gets into position and scurry

an unexpected move is played what are we supposed to do now?

i rush to get under the ball in a hurry

i could feel all eyes on me and beats of sweat drip down my forehead as i just barely reached the ball

i could already feel the new bruises on my joints

my team mates strategically worked together making sure to not let it fall

we soon win the last set point

once this set was over it felt like the world was taken off my shoulders

soon after my team gathers together in a circle

we cheer and discuss but make sure to stay humble
as the last set starts it feels as if we’ve been here forever yet the gym feels even colder

the referee then blows the whistle signifying a call
