finally, i’ve crossed the threshold
to what could possibly be the worst or best experience

i stand at the surface, dusty and wilting

a trace of a soft putrid smell
as if one were to have dismantled every part of me and formulated where to scatter my remains across this soil
i ignore it and continue
i see a deserted wasteland, a territory in which the enemies wouldn’t dare trespass
of course, there’s no one here, and i’m not the enemy
or so i believe

as i wander my wandering brain throughout these grounds i start to murmur to myself
“this seems awfully familiar, a once inhabited sp*ce almost my like my own home.”
it appears to be that once love and care could’ve existed here, could’ve thrived here
what happened?
where’s everyone?
by the looks of it no*one may ever be able to ever reply to my uncertainty

my love and interest for this place spurs up quick, fast
by the looks of the remains everything looks so futuristic, as if these natives were born with magic
now it just looks like a dying jungle
i stand firm in my position, wondering, “was it burning hatred that brought this once vigorous land down?”
this once utopia now dystopia, what happened?
two dichotomies: fire and ice, stand prominent in these remnants
maybe they were being opposed to each other

i hope their okay now
