the old phone rang in superkee’s apartment. superkee picked up the receiver
“h*llo, you’ve reached my house”
the voice on the other line wasn’t so chipper. perhaps they hadn’t started their day with such a balanced breakfast

man, that guy was always in hot water
not like a shower or bath. but like, the unfun hot water that only crime can bring
“superkee we need your help. there’s so much mud everywhere and the girl’s soccer team plays at noon. seriously superkee i’m looking around and, i mean this place is covered.”
“there’s no water left in the fountain. it’s all just, you know…it looks like a little cherub boy is peeing diarrhea”

superkee sprang into action
he ran to his closet and threw the doors wide open, looked at all the suits he had amassed over the years. each fit for a separate occasion, and a separate crime. a separate place, a separate time
he threw his rubber cape over his shoulders. it paired so well with his “save the whales” shirt
“i wonder if we ever save those whales?”, he thought
he threw on his galoshes and took off out the door
